I have set this topic up to answer any questions relating to Canvas from Woothemes.January 16, 2012 at 1:05 pm #3125
Where is it best to upload Canvas? Do you recommend going directly to Woo Themes site and uploading/paying for it there?
MikeJanuary 16, 2012 at 5:33 pm #3126
Yes if you buy it from Woothemes, you will be able to download the files to your pc. Then from here you can upload to your website from your dashboard.January 27, 2012 at 10:35 am #3278
Still looking to add some kind of forum to my canvas themed site. I have purchased the child theme for Buddypress, but I don’t really understand what I’m doing with it, whereas thanks to your tutorials (and also the simplicity) BBPress seems pretty straightforward, but it doesn’t like canvas, it seems.

Here is the fix for bbpress and canvas. http://www.woothemes.com/support-forum/?viewtopic=65369.
I haven’t tried it out yet though, but it should work.January 30, 2012 at 10:19 pm #3346
Hello again Jamie
Have just got back to WordPress and can’t seem to install canvas onto my site. What am I doing wrong? I have purchased it from Woo Themes. It was downloading as .zip file but when completed is now a normal folder in ‘Downloads’. Can’t upload the whole folder to my site because it needs to be in .zip format. Help!
Thanks again, MikeJanuary 30, 2012 at 10:22 pm #3347
Hi Mike, you will need to make it a zip file again. If you right click on the folder you should get an option to send to zip or create archive. If you are on a mac it is right click and then compress. Once it’s a zip, then just upload.January 31, 2012 at 9:25 pm #3369
Hi Jamie, Just noticed your reply on BBPress: Thanks for that! I’ll have a tinker soon and let you know how I get on
Completely different topic now. Take a look at this site. That background image on the middle of the page I want to float left. I tried just aligning left, but that’s not doing it. I guess I need to tinker with the css; any ideas?January 31, 2012 at 10:30 pm #3370
Thanks Jamie..all set now…until my next question!!!!…hope you run the canvas workshop soon!

Hi Jamie, How do you design the headerimage for your site, before uploading it?
Jim CrooksMarch 12, 2012 at 5:33 pm #3682
I either use pixelmator (only avaiable on the mac) or photoshop or .net paint.

Jamie, how do I get rid of the footer right at the bottom of Canvas that says:
© 2012 . All Rights Reserved.Powered by WordPress. Designed by Woo Themes
Loving your Canvas videos, so simple and easy to follow. I bet I’ve missed this bit in one of them, haven’t I lol????
TrishMarch 18, 2012 at 11:34 am #3724
Thank you for lovely feedback :)
To get rid of the footer words (and replace with your own) go to canvas theme options, then footer styling, then near the bottom of footer sytling you will find two tick boxes. Tick both enable custom footer left and also tick enable custom footer right. Once this are ticked you can put your own words in :)March 18, 2012 at 3:49 pm #3728
Just changed it all and how simple was that???
Thanks again Jamie, much appreciated.

Hurrah :)June 11, 2012 at 9:01 am #5397
I’m missing 2 basic things here.I’m using Woo Canvas, and setting the Canvas>Theme Options>General TypographyGeneral Text Font Style font , but whatever I set here has no effect on my text.
I’ve proved that these settings do have an effect by nominating my text as H6 successfully, but if I do this I lose a div I’ve placed around my text so that I can define a background colour.June 11, 2012 at 9:07 am #5398
