I used to read The Tiger Who Came to Tea to my daughters.
A tiger turns up unexpectedly and consumes absolutely everything. The food. The drinks. The water. Daddy’s beer. No restraint whatsoever.
Increasingly, I think we are the tiger.
Right now, many of us are absolutely gorging ourselves on AI.
“Analyse this.”
“Build me an app.”
“Rewrite my website.”
“Summarise 400 pages.”
And AI politely replies:
Certainly.
But this feels suspiciously temporary.
Tokens cost money. GPUs cost money. Data centres cost money. Somebody, somewhere, is still helping fund the buffet.
So my recommendation is simple:
Be the tiger.
Use it as much as possible.
Learn fast. Build strange things. Experiment wildly.
Because one day, the tap is probably going to run dry.
And we’ll all look back at this period wondering why we didn’t drink more deeply while we had the chance.
