    Hi Jamie,

Canvas Theme. I have added a text box in the primary widget with a radiused-corners border. My problem is that the text is tight to the borders sides. I tried the widget padding at various settings but no fix there.
Just found your free canvas child theme which I’ve downloaded ready to install when I get time so that might help when I figure out what css is. I did try one css tweak from your 30 / 65 lists in the custom stylesheet but no fix there – I need to read up on basic css!

Is there an edit menu item for this that I’ve missed in the canvas system or will I need some code adding to the theme template?

Also, the site shows o.k. in my old Explorer browser, but I suspect I’ve upset something for the Chrome browser as the main page content has been pushed downwards. It would be great if you could point me in the right direction to fix this too.

    Hi Nigel,

You should be able to set this in Canvas.

Go to Canvas / Settings / Widgets

And in there you can add padding to left and right and top and bottom.

Let me know if that fixes things for you,

    Thanks for that Jamie,
I’ve sussed out why it wasn’t working. The top/bottom default spacing is fine, it’s only the sides of the text that I wanted to space out so I only added pixels in the ‘sides’ box. Canvas also needs an entry in the ‘top/bottom’ box to make the ‘sides’ box effective.

I haven’t yet found out why the page content has pushed downwards. I suspect there’s a renegade padding entry somewhere causing the issue although I don’t recall what I might have done. I would be most gratefull if you could point me in the right direction for anything that would give a fix.

    Ta much,
