    Hi,

I’ve bought the new Pootle Press Page Element Hider, when I ran the plugin install from within WP
    1. It unpacked fine
    2. When I clicked activate I got a ‘missing header file’ (or something like that, I didn’t save it! sorry)
    3. It didn’t appear in plugin list
    4. When I tried to reinstall I get a message saying its already installed.
    5. When I FTP to my site it doesn’t exist in the wp-content/plugin directory.
Not unqiue to this plug in, I tried another one underConstruction to see if it was related to the plug in, same problem. Really hoping you can help me figure this one out! Regards, Sarah.

    Hi Sarah,

It sounds like a server problem to me. Who are you hosting with?

… groan, !&!. I had kind of come to that conclusion myself last night. Does the plugin register itself somewhere and then create the files. It almost like it has failed at the file creation stage but WordPress is referencing where the files should be? I was hoping to be able to get it back to a stable state and go from there.

    Hi Sarah,

Normally you should be able to see the plugin folder in wp-content. Especially if it’s telling you that the folder exists. It might be worth contacting your hosting company (who are they btw?) to see if they can see the problem from their end.

    Jamie
