I’m a bit confused about where to start with a brand new site. The site is a simple blog with Home, About, Contact and Blog posts, plus email capture for a newsletter optin. The theme is 18 tags and I’m using the pootle page builder.

Once I’ve installed the theme and the page builder:

What should I set up in the theme itself? Anything?

Or can I go straight to the page builder and do everything from scratch with this?

I’m not really sure what needs to be to set up in the theme and when to use the page builder instead.

Sorry if this sounds a bit bonkers, but I’ve got myself in a knot with it. Thanks

    Hi Cathy,

It rather depends on the theme you are using – what theme are you using?

Ok , then I would use the theme to customizer the design but pagebuilder for all your page layouts

There is crossover is some places e.g with 18 tags you can customize the main blog page and you can also do this if you are using pagebuilder pro.

But as a general rule – using the theme customizer for the design of the website
Pagebuilder for the layouts of pages

    Make sense?
