Hi all. I’ve been trying very unsuccessfully to make the quote marks white. I have tried using the code that appears in your 65+ woo tips

    .entry blockquote:before {color: #fff;}

    but it changes nothing. (i’m putting it in the custom.css in my child theme)

    I’ve tried with firebird to find the CSS but I just can’t locate it.

    Can anyone help me work out how to do it. I’d be very greatful,. I just can’t seem to work it out.

    you can see the site i’m working on http://www.kellyburchell.com/westgate

    thanks in advance :)

    Hi Kelly,

    I’ve had a quick look at your site and it looks like the quotes are png’s (graphics) which is a bit strange. Will do some digging this end.

    I can’t believe I missed that… what a wally! anyway thanks Jamie. I can replace an image obviously. Do you think they’ve changed something? or have I put these in using a weird method.. I used the woo shortcode:
my text
right now it seems that simply placing a new image (quote.png) in the functions/images/ folder of my child theme doesn’t work. The old image still displays. Obviously I don’t want to just replace the one in the canvas directory, as that will get replaced the minute I upgrade. so now I’m a bit lost again. Any ideas anybody?

    Hi Kelly,

    Well you could always create your own graphics and just put them in the page as a graphic :)

    sometimes it’s the really simple answers that elude us… good idea :) wish I could find something a bit slicker, so my client doesn’t have to do it.. but not a bad work round for now. Cheers for answering.
