    I recently got someone to paste some HTML into the HTML source of my site so that I could be part of the NewsNow Publisher Network. There is now a WordPress update available and I’m wondering if the change he made will be lost when I update.

    If it will be lost. Is this something I could do myself or is it dangerous?

    (Here are the instructions they gave:
    Upload the logo graphic file to your website/blog, then copy and paste the following HTML excerpt into the HTML source of your site:
    <div id=”newsnowlogo” title=”Click here for more Birmingham City news from NewsNow” style=”width:119px;font-size:11px;line-height:11px;font-family:Verdana,Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;color:#444;text-align:center” >As featured on NewsNow: Birmingham City newsBirmingham City News 24/7</div> <script type=”text/javascript”> document.getElementById(‘newsnowlogo’).onclick=function(){window.open(‘http://www.newsnow.co.uk/h/Sport/Football/Championship/Birmingham+City’,’newsnow’);}; document.getElementById(‘newsnowlogo’).style.cursor=’pointer’; document.getElementById(‘newsnowlogo_a’).style.textDecoration=’none’; document.getElementById(‘newsnowlogo_a’).style.borderBottom=’0 none’; </script>
    NB: replace ‘path/to/file’ in the HTML excerpt above with the path to the folder in which you saved the logo.)

    Hi Margaret,

    A WordPress update shouldn’t overite this :)
