    Hi Jamie

how do I add social media links to my nav menu, so when somebody clicks on twitter in the nav menu they go straight to that site.

I have tried to setup the nav menu in apperance menu but then the home page disappears.

    Hi Dean,

You are on the right track. Just add them as a custom link in menus. It’s tutorial 5 on this page http://www.pootlepress.co.uk/wordpress-video-tutorials/wordpress-essentials/

Re Home page link: You will need to add your url (i.e your home page) as a custom link and add it to your menu (and call it home)

    Hi

is it the same process if I have a blog, because I have a post which is called welcome. How do I get a home page for the blog? so when people click the home page link in the nav menu it takes them back to the home page.

    Hi Dean,

Do you have a link you can share. I’m not 100% clear on what you are trying to achieve :)

    Tks

yes sorry, I’ve confused myself when I read it back. http://www.deanhaycox.com. I have my site setup as a blog, so how do I create the home link that goes back to the posts when clicked.

I clicked on deanhaycox.com and it went back to the post, but when I setup a home link and clicked on it, it went back to the home page with no post showing.

    Hi Dean,

In menus you need to create a custom link with you url in it e.g http://deanhaycox.com. It looks like your current home menu item goes to a page http://deanhaycox.com/home/.
