    Thanks for sharing how to use css for styling for the background color in the pagebuilder rows so that I don’t have to go into each row and manual set the colors. It’s great!

    But now, since I have rows with different color backgrounds, (some light, some dark) I need to be able to have the font colors be light and dark depending on the background.

    I have tried but can’t figure out the code to be able to have the same control for the text color as I have for the background color. Can you share the specific css I would need to customize the type color please?

    /* STYLING FOR PAGEBUILDER ROWS BACKGROUND COLOR */

    .panel-row-style-color1Class {

background-color: #222833;

    font-color: #ffffff;

    }

    Hi Sue,

    Actually there is an easier way to do this :)

    You can just use the inbuilt wordpress text color tool (in the pootle visual widget). Just highlight your text and choose your color.

    Let me know if that makes sense,

    Okay Jamie,

    Here’s the deal. We wanted to be able to change easily if/when the client changes their mind about color without having to go into each widget/row.

    Since we have this nifty code for the background color using classes, we thought we could do the same for the text.

    I agree, your suggestion is an easy way to do it if you were doing just a few rows. But if you are doing pages and pages and rows and rows and widgets and widgets and the client wants to see different colors, it could be maddening.

    So, IS there a way to control and change the text color in page builder rows, using classes in the visual style area and corresponding css?

    We are handling the background colors this way, but if we have to do the text styles manually, it could make us all crazy.

    Thank you!

    Hi Sue,

    I think for now the only way would be to do as I’ve set out above – i’ll have a think if there might be another way.

    Okay Jamie. So if I understand you correctly you are saying that as of this moment, it is NOT possible to use css to control text color globally using the class box within the page builder visual style area.

    But it IS possible to do this (use the class box and css) with regard to controlling the background colors.

    I know the whole point of page builder is to make everything easier and that using advanced code for coloring text is not what the majority will be doing. But I want to officially ask for this feature for websites with lots of rows and lots of variation, light text on dark background and vice versa.

    Would love to know the css code for this sometime.

    In addition, it would be great to be able to access a css cheat sheet for other advanced page builder customizations. :)

    Thanks for your time and keep up the good work!
