Hi there, I am trying to setup my new website on word press using the canvas theme. I have been going through your videos and have found some useful content there. However, there are still some unanswered questions. My website will have say 4 pages which I can create through add page. I also know how to create categories etc. When something will be posted it will have a category. However, what I want to do is for every post regardless of its category, have the post show on my homepage as a summary with a link saying continue reading as well as that post showing on its category page. So every post shows on the home page and say the post is about healthy recipes, when the visitor will hover over the nutrition link on the menu and the healthy recipe dropdown appears and is clicked on, that post should also be on the healthy recipe category page. Hope that makes sense. Also, I’m not sure how to create the line dividing each of the posts on the page kind of like a grey line dividing each post like on your blog page on the pootlepress site which I think looks good. I would also like to know how to create the next link like at the bottom of your blog page so the posts don’t just run down the page for miles and miles.
That’s a lot of stuff I suppose. LOL

Here’s a tutorial I put together that shows you how to add posts onto pages (with different categories.
Let me know if that makes sense,

The video is very good and I does answer my question in a way. What I was wanting to do is have one stream that displays posts from multiple categories. Is this possible using this method, by inputting multiple category ID’s so the latest posts are pulled from each category or not. Also on the right hand side I want to have my sidebar in which I want to have my email optin form to build my list, so I cant have many columns. What I so wanted to do is have a full width slider and then the sidebar underneath on the right hand side with the posts on the left. how would I go about doing this

Yep you could put in multiple categories or if you don’t put in a category it will just pull in posts from all categories by default.
To do what you want
1) Use the business slider (see canvas masterclass)
2) Put sign up form in sidebar (this appears under slider to the right of page)
3) Use pagebuilder to pull in posts under the slider
That’s it :)

I recently changed my Posts page and now it will not display. There are 2 possible things that might have caused this. The first thing I did was change from using text to using page builder on the site. Unfortunately, I didn’t view the page before doing an SEO check and changing the URL of the page. At this point I tried to view the page and got a 404 error.
So I used the Redirection plug-in & 404 error went away.
However, although the correct page URL displays in the address bar and the navigation appears to work correctly, there is no page content – only the content of the latest posts.
