    Jamie,

Can you shed any light on this?

I have installed WordPress successfully using 123-reg. (ftp’ed the latest version 3.4.2)
I uploaded the latest version of Canvas / Woo Themes CANVAS 5.0.9FRAMEWORK 5.4.2.

There seems to be a problem with Canvas in that the sub menu only displays the following:

    Theme Options
    Hook Manager
    Layout Manager
    Meta Manager
    Back Up Settings

    And that is it. No…

    Sidebar Manager
    Framework Settings
    SEO
    Update Framework

Have I done something wrong here, as surely the complete sub menu should display. Correct?

    Thanks
    Mark

    Hi Mark,

Yes this looks like a problem. I’ve just tested on a clean install and all the menus appear fine. Maybe try deleting Canvas and uploading again.

I generally avoid 123reg for hosting WordPress websites as i’ve had a few problems. But hopefully your problem isn’t related to the server environment.

    Hi Jamie

    Still no luck :(

I have deleted Canvas and Uploaded latest version via install themes and then ftp’ed and still no complete success. Only part arriving. The comparing to another client’s ftp files. It’s the same folders.

Spoke to 123-Reg and suggested it was a .php issue and tried to up sell me to a VPS package. Second plan of action was to email the Ninja’s at Woo Theme inc a screen grab, maybe they can shed some light on this one.

At a loss… Hopefully it will sort itself out…

    Hi Jamie

Success! I got in contact with WooThemes and we sorted out the problem. For some reason we found that there was a different user name set for the super user: http://cld.wthms.co/B4B0 That was removed and we are no 100% WooTheme efficient.

I also learnt that the sidebar manager is deprecated. If you’re wanting to create custom sidebars, one should use WooSidebars within WooDojo or from here: http://www.woothemes.com/woosidebars

Did you know that or is there still a way to implement Sidebars differently?

    Thanks Jamie

    Repost – original seems lost

    Until very recently my Portfolio Item Titles were showing nicely above individual Lightbox images. They have now disappeared. You’ll know I’ve been experiencing other Gallery issues, but can’t for the life of me see what has triggered this disappearance. For a while during development I was using this code in my Child theme style.css to prevent titles appearing but I deleted that many weeks ago and have made sure it’s not in the current Child theme style.css div.pp_pic_holder .ppt {     float: left;     position: absolute;     top: 5px;     z-index: -1; }

    Thanks  Paul Brooks

    Hi Paul,

Yes it’s most likely some of the custom css in the child theme causing this. Can you remove it all to check ? Then you’ll need to go through line by line to find the offending code :(

    Hi Jamie
Will do, but interestingly I’ve just started build of a new site – early days , no custom css, no plugins, no child theme , no extra functions, very little content. In there I’ve built a small single portfolio with gallery/lightbox display. At WooThemes suggestion it’s using latest Canvas 5.0.10 and Framework 5.4.2.   WooThemes are investigating why, for them, this portfolio is behaving inconsistently across different setups  – Lightbox titles showing/not showing, and why the gallery is only showing 2 pictures (each width 210) across the screen. Link  http://www.bristolbrunellions.org.uk.server112.ukservers.net/testportfolio/

I’ve resolved the Gallery issue where only 2 images showing across the rows – solved by selecting a full width page option. I’m stuck (and so, it seems are WooThemes) on why individual Lightbox displays are not showing Portfolio item Title. Any thoughts please Jamie, given this is happening now on a very clean uncomplicated and up to date (WordPress, Canvas, Woo framework) site?
