    Hi Jamie,

I’ve been making my site up of pages only so far. I need a page that will be updated every 2 months with a new newsletter. I’m wondering whether a post is the best way to go, that way I can also have an archive of all the past newsletters in the sidebar. But my brain’s a bit stuck on how to do this!

I’ve created the post here: http://www.clissoldpark.com/newsite/test-post/
But what do I when I have a new newsletter to put up? I’d like to just replace the content of this post – but then I think I’d be deleting it from the archive too?

Do I have to make a whole new post each time – with a different address? How would that work with the rest of the site?

    Any help much appreciated!

    Hi Isabelle,

You could create a category called newsletter and only show posts of this category. This would list all your newsletters (in chronological order) so you would have the latest newsletter at the top but an achieve of previous newsletter underneath.

    Thanks Jamie.
So no archive list in the sidebar? The newsletters would be one long page, with the newest at the top?

    Hi,

Yes but you could also list in the sidebar by using a list by category plugin/widget. i.e this would only show post titles by category type ‘newsletter’
