I’ve recently been through the canvas videos and I’m not far of starting my blog, would you consider doing more advanced training on canvas.

Are there any particular areas you would like covered in an Advanced Canvas tutorial?

Thanks for getting back. I don’t really have anything specific, I guess since I watched the last canvas training (it was awesome) I would like to know how to use canvas in more depth and find out what sites can be built using the canvas theme.

Hi Dean / Jamie,
hope you don’t mind me chipping in with some ideas. Would like to see:-
a) How to handle user registration / login / lost passwords (specifically on registration to stop people registering with false email addresses)

Thanks for the ideas :)
a) Can you give me a bit more detail on what membership functionality you are looking to build (i.e why are people registering)
b) Will do a short tutorial on how to put the legal stuff into the footer this week for you :)

Angie, I don’t mind. more people that participate the better the forum.May 2, 2012 at 4:46 pm #4518
Here is your tutorial on how to include legal stuff and display in your footer http://www.pootlepress.co.uk/2012/05/how-to-add-page-your-own-links-to-the-canvas-footer-area/May 2, 2012 at 10:51 pm #4522
thanks for the Tutorial for the legal stuff that is great.
In terms of membership I want users to be able to register to join the discussion forums and I have ticked the requisite box in general settings. Just want to ensure that any users are valid and not registering under false emails. I believe that a plugin called Pie Register gives great additional security to stop people registering with false email / duplicate addresses and also allows you to gather further registration information which would be useful for marketing purposes and potentially if I also want to charge members for specific services later down the line.

Sorry its me again. Is it possible to cover adding something like Css3 Coloured Buttons to the Menu Bar so they stand out and also how the buttons link into a certain page.
