I am struggling with a small issue,
I have a blog page on my site that I’ve built along with the rest with page builder, in my reading settings i set posts to blog page, when i view blog page the posts are there but the background is black.
is there any way i can change this so its the same as other pages,I’ve tried to edit the page with the page customiser but to no avail
thanks in advance Fionn.July 28, 2014 at 8:58 pm #15259
Could you share a link to the site?

I’m guessing you have set the site background colour to black – or are using some custom css ?
ps the site looks great :)August 6, 2014 at 3:38 pm #15469

Thanks Jamie I’ve just sent them overAugust 7, 2014 at 7:46 pm #15508
I just taken a quick look and found out what’s happening :)
It’s because you’ve set the background color of your site to black. Found in Canvas, Styling and layout, Background color.

Hi Jamie thanks for that,i tried adding the same background image as i have done in the page customiser but i cannot get it to cover, only repeat x and y, is there any way i can make the image cover the page like my other pages
thanks Fionn.August 7, 2014 at 8:06 pm #15511
Have you set the background image to the cover setting?August 7, 2014 at 8:24 pm #15513
I don’t have the option in canvas settingsAugust 8, 2014 at 3:04 am #15523
Yep you are quite right :)
The only way to do this I think would be to add it in custom.css,

Hi jamie, could you tell me what the custom css is to do it would be
thanks FionnAugust 10, 2014 at 3:48 pm #15566
Hi again sorry to be a pest, but just to confirm, i can use the page customiser to customise a post, but if i want a blog page in my menu to list the posts, then the customiser won’t work, i have to use custom css. Is this correct, if so will you be updating the plugin so it will work on a blog menu page.

You can create a page and pull posts into it with PageBuilder. Here’s a tutorial http://jamiemarsland.wpengine.com/2014/06/video-tutorial-create-magazine-layout-like-new-york-times-website/.
This creates a very complex blog page – but you can use the same concept for a simple one :)
