You might want to have a test envirement ( subfolder with a copy migrated to that folder ) and try the storefront pro update there first.
Might just be that this update fixed the media issue…

Good luck and have a great weekend as well!

    Hi Winni,

I can confirm no isues with Storefront Pro and 4.6.1. here!

To eliminate other plugin/theme conflicts, best thing to do is:

deactivate all other plugin and see if media is back.
If so, start activating other plugins one by one and check if and when the issue is back.

That way you can determine the culprit.

    Good luck,
    Annie

    Hi Jamie,

You say its or the full width or a page with one column but as you can see here in my Storefront shop: http://logologics.nl/mobiele-kok-shop/faq/

it can be done without a sidebar too?
In the customizer – Content we can choose between two kind of layouts.
    http://www.awesomescreenshot.com/image/1041484/b562b54e876fbed495b2254ac46572c1

However, maybe you would consider adding this option in Storefront Pro ( like in Canvas to be able to change the width to 1500 or whatever suits best?

    Hi Marco,

Sorry to barge in, but I can see the other page ( in your storefront ) are nice aligned with the menu, so why is this not happening at the page you refer to: http://sylviabouwer.nl/2016/01/28/wil-je-weten-wat-mijn-nieuwe-plannen-zijn/

Seems to me if storefront aligns it on other pages ( except the homepage which can be set to full widht) why this smaller layout on this one page right?

This webshop is also build with Storefront ( and the Pootlepress Storefront Pro ) and as you can see it is always the same widht on every page?

Did you by any change center the menu on that page? or, if I am not mistaking this is a blog page template? maybe something with the sidebar or setting in the pagebuilder?

    Hi Jamie,

What we mean is the same kind of option like we have in Canvas, settings layout, where we can simply drag the width of the content to what we like.

In Storefront its just the homepage full width and no options to change width in other pages content.

    Thanks,
    Annie

    Hi Jamie,

Sure I am aware of that and have an unlimited licence for Gravity Forms :-)

The reason why I would like to use the already integrated contact form of Canvas, is to avoid an extra plugin and be able to provide low budget websites for clients that don’t need a fully cusomizable contactform.

I got the whole form translated using these filters in the themes functions.php:

    add_filter(‘gettext’, ‘translate_text’); add_filter(‘ngettext’, ‘translate_text’); function translate_text

    ($translated) { $translated = str_ireplace(‘Message’, ‘Bericht’, $translated); $translated = str_ireplace

    (‘Name’, ‘Naam’, $translated); $translated = str_ireplace(‘Submit comment’, ‘Reageer’, $translated);

    $translated = str_ireplace(‘View all posts by’, ‘Bekijk alle berichten van’, $translated); $translated =

    str_ireplace(‘No comments yet’, ‘Nog geen reacties’, $translated); $translated = str_ireplace(‘About’, ‘Over’,

    $translated);$translated = str_ireplace(‘Solve’, ‘Los op’, $translated); $translated = str_ireplace(‘Search’,

    ‘Zoeken’, $translated); $translated = str_ireplace(‘Send a copy of this email to yourself’, ‘Stuur een kopie van deze mail naar jezelf’, $translated); return $translated; }

However this does not seem to translate the “submit” button. Even translating it with “Loco translate” does not change that text, and I used this to translate the Sensei plugin so I think I do this correctly.

Could it be this button is not part of the Canvas theme but WP core somehow? One would think not, because it is a Canvas Contact template right?

I thought you might have a quick Canvas trick for this, being the Canvas experts and all, but I might try at Woothemes if you do not know how to get this translated?

    Thanks,
    Annie

    Hi,

    I have the same question.

I mean like in Canvas where we easely can set/change the with of the layout, apart
    from the full width.

That is something I find is missing in Storefront.

    Thanks,
    Annie

    Hi Jamie,

I remembered a site where this template is installed and got a chance to see that this plugin is used to make that happen: https://wordpress.org/plugins/oauth-twitter-feed-for-developers/

Seems this is ment for developers and need further customizations indeed.

I suppose the developer of the theme: http://www.responsivewpthemes.com/sportlife/ made some customizations to make that happen.

    Thanks,

    Hi Jamie,

Ok so compared to canvas page builder I would not lose any features when using the pootle page builder?

Can I deactivate canvas page builder and when pootle page builder is installed and activated, will it take the old canvas builder columns etc and rebuild it automatically or do I need to recreate everything?

I searched yesterday in the list of WPLM compatible plugins and nothing to be found from Pootlepress. A theme or plugin needs to have these thins in order ( by the developers ) to be ready to work in multilangual sites using WPLM:

Achieving WPML Compatibility for Your Themes and plugins

If this is not the case, and it seems that way, we will not be able to use the Pootle page builder or other plugins in a multilangual site.

Would you consider making your page builder and other plugins that need to be translated if used in multilangual site, wplm compatible?

    Thanks,
    Annie

    Hi Jamie,

Oh, great, I have been searching in the courses but overlooked this one: http://jamiemarsland.wpengine.com/2015/10/how-to-build-an-elearning-website/

About Vimeo Pro, I am more worried about “hot linking”.
I a student has paid and can view the video, can this student then not just crab the url and let others watch it on that direct link I wonder?

Maybe not, I just tried this link when logged out as a student at Pootlepress and then I get the message I need to pay and become a member first.

    Thanks,
    Annie

Only is a paying student would hand out its own login credentials to another non paying person, they could take the courses anyway while not having paid. I suppose there is not actual way to prefend that from happening?

    Thanks,
    Annie

    Hi Jamie,

I understand the Pootle page builder is an “all themes” page builder and that the Canvas page builder only works on a Canvas theme.

My question is, is it better to start using the all themes page builder even on the Canvas theme ( which I use for all my own and clients sites? ).

Or is it better to keep using the canvas page builder if I use canvas?
Can I do more with the canvas page builder then with the all themes page builder if I use Cavas?

Is this free page builder compatible with WPLM for multilanguage sites?
I have bought Canvas page builder but cant use it for multilangual sites so far?

    Thanks,
    Annie

    Hi,

I would like to add my wish for more customization options in Top menu here as well.
Like rounded dropdown with effects, mostly to be able to do what the awesome menu costumizer can but in the top nav as well.

I would like to add that this is what the form looks like on this forum, white background and white letters so I can not see what they say?
