I am having difficulty updating both Woo Framework and Canvas. They are both quite out of date and updating causes layout problems on website.
Woo Framework – my version is 5.5.5 and I need to update to 6.2.7 (!). When I do, the sidebar that I have on right of some site pages disappears. (fyi I did this update first. Not sure if should do in particular order).
Canvas – when I updated Canvas from 5.3 to 5.10.1 things get much much worse. Whole pages become a jumble with stuff moved round all over the place and, I think, even content from different pages appearing on the same page.
nb. the reason I initially realised I needed to update these is because I bought your Menu Customiser 2.2 but found that it appeared to be missing aspects so looked more like previous version (according to what I understood from your promotional video) e.g. only tab for one navigation and simpler options than in your video. Is this indeed likely to be because updates needed?

This sounds a little odd and shouldn’t be happening,
Can you let me know what plugins your website is running and also whether you are running a child theme,
It might be easier for me to have a quick look at the dashboard – so you could email me login details, (don’t post login details here :)

I’m sorry to keep pestering but I would be very grateful if you could let me know soon if you will be able to look into this issue for me and I need urgently to update my site and would like to do this with your Menu Customiser and Page Builder. I’m also trialing the Beaver Builder Lite version (you will find that Plugin in my WordPress but don’t think that causing problems as installed this later), but would prefer to use yours because of close ties to Canvas. However I need to decide soon if this will be possible or move on.
I have sent you my login details by email ex email@example.com (i’ll copy this message to that email thread to bring it forward in your emails)
And, yes, I am using a Child Theme.

Is today possible? I know I am pestering, but from Friday I have apx 4 clear days to sit down to try to transform website before end of summer holidays when my usual work routine leaves me little time for such things. So really want to have theme updates done and to be up and running with your Site Builder by then so I do not miss this window.
By the way, I don’t suppose you have a free slot for your WordPress Xpress days on Monday or Tuesday next week? If so, I would perhaps be interested in booking one – but would like to get theme updates sorted before then so I can then do a few things myself first.

I’ve just had a quick look and there’s lots of css customizations in Canvas / Theme options / General Settings / Display options
There is a chance they are getting lost when you are updating the new version of canvas,
My advice is to move the custom css out of canvas settings and into a plugin like this https://en-gb.wordpress.org/plugins/simple-custom-css/

Don’t know if you saw the response I sent by email (I replied to email copy of your forum message, but it bounced as realised after was no reply address. But did then substitute your email address so actual message still under Delivery Failure subject …. Reason did was only had mobile and FYI could not manage to find how to login to your website so could reply in Forum on mobile. Ok on iPad).
Anyway I have now had a chance to look at what you mean on computer, so a bit clearer and will have a go at what you suggest and try updating Themes and using your Menu Customiser again. Just to be sure, I should Cut and copy the CSS from Canvas Display Options and paste it into the right place in that Plugin (have not yet installed), right? (Was watching some of your Pootlepress Academy last night – there you recommend Firebug and Jetpack for working with CSS in WordPress. Just so not confused, do you still recommend these too? For something different or does this Simple Custom CSS play the same role as the Jetpack CSS option?)
Also asked in email you may not have seen if you had noted my query re possibility of a WordPress Xpress day (by Skype – I will be in Italy) with you early next week? I know it is a long-shot that you are free, but worth asking …

I did all as you suggested – installing plugin and moving CSS – but still same problem on update of Woo Framework (sidebar disappears) and Canvas (page layout goes totally bonkers inc some page content moved into navigation/header area). Sooo frustrated. And so grateful for any other advice, help, suggestions???
fyi I have just restored back pre updates. This restore has also removed CSS change you suggested, but will re-install that plugin and do that.
