    Hi,

I’ve recently joined the academy and also bought the CX Pro package and downloaded the canvas child theme. I’ve had quite a bit of experience with wordpress admin but very limited knowledge of building websites.

Anyway, I recently installed wordpress on one of my domains following your excellent video instructions (I have a business account with Heart Internet). I got to the point of having to choose whether to install wordpress in my full url – http://www.mysite.co.uk or just in mysite.co.uk. There was a third option to install into a temporary url consisting of an IP no.mysite.co.uk.

I chose the first option (www.mysite.co.uk) and everything went well and wordpress installed perfectly. I changed the settings to make it a website rather than a blog, installed CX Pro and Woocommerce and built my first webpage. I then clicked on’Visit Site’ but instead of seeing the site I just got the following message:

‘Welcome to Your New Hosting Package
    This is your index.html page
Please replace this when you upload your website’

I went back into Settings General and changed the url to just mysite.co.uk for both the wordpress and the site address, clicked Visit Site and there was the site – so…

Did i do something wrong when I installed wordpress and should i try to re-install or is this something I need to resolve with Heart Internet?

Apologies for such a long question but I would appreciate your advice.

    Kind regards,

    Hi Michael,

Many thanks for joining the academy and buying the cx pro package.

The Business account with heart internet is actually much more complex than just going for the home pro account. The home pro account keeps each website silo’d so much easier.

It’s probably easier if you raise a support ticket with heart internet as there could be a few things causing this because of the way their business pro works.

Let me know how you get on :)

    Kind regards,
    Jamie
