I am attempting to have all of my images come onto my website from DropBox. I can insert an image into the Product Description or Product Short Description using the share code from Dropbox and changing “www.dropbox” to “dl.dropboxusercontent”. However, this does not load the image to my image gallery (obviously) and I cannot use this method when I try to set a featured image for the product. The only option I can find to do this is choose an image from my image gallery and this means that I have to upload the image from my computer which in turn results in an insecure URL.
Is there a work-around for this?

I’m a little confused why the url would be insecure?
Could you give me a bit more detail,

I’m a bit confused too (though only through lack of knowledge). When I try: https://www.dogssteppingout.com.au, a triangle with an exclamation mark appears in front of the URL. I’ve attached a screen shot of the message that appears when I click on the triangle and another of the expanded message.
This also seems to be causing a problem when I try to attach the site to its Facebook page. I get a message saying that Facebook can’t connect because the site is insecure. (It will allow me to connect by SSL proxy but this is $29 per month that I am not prepared to pay.)July 20, 2015 at 5:02 pm #21424
I’m not sure what is happening here – it all looks ok from this end.
Could i ask who you are hosting the website with?

It’s hosted with Crazy Domains. I’ve been thinking that this might be part of the problem and have contacted them but their response is also that some of my images are coming from an insecure location.
Crazy domains is a real ‘El cheapo’ but it does get good reviews here. Perhaps it’s time to move to another host. I’ve been thinking about WP Engine. What is your opinion of this?

Yes it could be to do with your hosting company – i’ve never actually seen this before so it’s a bit hard to say. If your budget stretches to it then i recommend wpengine – it’s what we use for this site :)
If you are happy to email me your login details (please don’t share them here) then i’ll have a quick test this end for you, to see if i can see what’s happening.
