    Hi Jamie,

    I have various business sliders on my site that I have categorised so different pages show different images.

    Is there a way of having it so that some sliders show the title and excerpt and others don’t? At the moment, in the Canvas settings, I have set it to show title and excerpt on an overlay for the homepage. However, on the other sliders, I would just like it to show the images with any overlay or text.

    Thanks,

    The slider text is also showing to the left and not in the centre too?

    Hi Rachel,

    You’d need some custom css for this.

    Take a look at my 65 canvas tweaks article as this may help :)

    I cannot see an option for this on the css customs you sent me?

    Hi Rachel,

    Well one way would to not put any text into the slider – have you tried that?

    Hello,

    Yes I am and there is a small empty rectangle over the photos.

    I would like the homepage to have a centred title with the text underneath.

    Then I would like the sliders on the what’s on, VIP seats, party themed nights, live acoustic, student night (link on bar page) the rooms and pricing (link on the hotel page)

    I am going CRAZY! Thank you Jamie.

    Hi Rachel,

    Sorry I don’t quite understand this paragraph

    “Then I would like the sliders on the what’s on, VIP seats, party themed nights, live acoustic, student night (link on bar page) the rooms and pricing (link on the hotel page)”

    Could you clarify pls :)

    Thanks,
    Jamie

    Sorry Jamie – those are the pages that have the other sliders on – the sliders I just want the image with no title or overlay on. At the moment, the overlay in Canvas settings is set to ‘centre’ so there is a black rectangle on each slide.

    Hi Rachel,

    Are all your sliders on completely separate pages – or do you want to have different looking sliders on the same page. Hope that makes sense,

    Jamie

    Hi

    Yes they are on sepearate pages.

    I have built it on the business slider – with different categories for each page.

    Ok to get rid of the black box background try this css

    #loopedSlider.business-slider .content {

    background: rgba(0, 0, 0, 0);

    }

    You’ll then need to target the individual pages that you want to hide it on.

    There is another option – you could do the whole slide as a graphic and then turn off show headings in the sliders. Make sense?
