Hi Jamie – how do I put the site map page in the footer?  I’ve been going around in circles! Thanks

    Anne

    Hi Anne,

    You need to

    1) Publish a new page called site map (or whatever name you want to give your sitemap)
    2) Set the ‘site map’ Page Template for this page

Then put this as a link in the footer (following my previous instructions)

Let me know if that is what you are after :)

    Hi Jamie,

Every time we add a new page to our site do we need to update our sitemap? It doesnt automatically update and I’ve added so many new pages which I would like on my sitemap.

    Many thanks,

    Rebecca

    Hi Rebecca,

The site map should automatically update.

Try clearing your browsers cache and reloading the page. (ctrl and F5) on a PC should do the trick.

Let me know if that works,

    Jamie

I’ve cleared my cache and reloaded the page but the sitemap hasn’t updated. If you go to

http://www.protectahome.co.uk/home/sitemap/ you will see there are case study pages missing e.g. http://www.protectahome.co.uk/waterproofing/waterproofing-case-studies/

I dont really want to have to add to the sitemap everytime a new page is added.

Our site hasn’t been built in a particularly good way so I am guessing this has something to do with it.

    Kind Regards,

    Rebecca

    Hi Rebecca,

Apologies I assumed you were using the Canvas theme.

Yes it’s most likely to do with the way the theme has been built or the plugin it is using. Although I’ve had a quick look and I can’t that the site map this is being published by a plugin – so most likely the theme.

    Jamie
