    Hi,

I am planning to set up a website and offer paid online video training.
Not sure wich plugin to use, but I am leaning towords Sensei.

It would be great to have some easy to follow step by step tutorials on how to set this up. Payments need to be done using woocommerce and after the payment ( paypal and ideal Netherlands ) the student automatically needs to get his log in for his own private courses dashboard.

I need to learn how to protect my video’s so they can not be hotlinked after one student has bought a course as well.

Suggestions on other good plugins that would suit my needs are welcome!

    Thanks,
    Annie

    Hi Annie,

We’ve got a sensei tutorial on the academy . See at the bottom on under the plugin tutorials http://jamiemarsland.wpengine.com/pootlepress-academy-tutorials/.

The way we protect our video’s is to use Vimeo pro – with this you can set whether videos can be downloaded and what websites they can be viewed on,

    Hi Jamie,

Oh, great, I have been searching in the courses but overlooked this one: http://jamiemarsland.wpengine.com/2015/10/how-to-build-an-elearning-website/

About Vimeo Pro, I am more worried about “hot linking”.
I a student has paid and can view the video, can this student then not just crab the url and let others watch it on that direct link I wonder?

Maybe not, I just tried this link when logged out as a student at Pootlepress and then I get the message I need to pay and become a member first.

    Thanks,
    Annie

Only is a paying student would hand out its own login credentials to another non paying person, they could take the courses anyway while not having paid. I suppose there is not actual way to prefend that from happening?

    Thanks,
    Annie

    Hi Annie,

Yes you just put the video behind a membership plugin (like restrict content pro).

Some membership plugins allow you to restrict access by IP address so you could also limit the possibility of logins being shared. But my advice would be to do this as a stage 2 exercise once everything is up and running,
