    Hello.

I am working on a site using Woothemes Canvas for an architect which will include a projects page to showcase his work. I’ve set up a page for this with 3 rows of 5 images (1st row residential, 2nd commercial and 3rd civic – so important I have control over exactly where the images go which I believe makes the portfolio setting not quite right for this.) I was hoping to have all of the images on the project page faded back to about 30%, then upon rollover have the image appear at 100%… then clicking on the image would take the user to that individual project page. Is there a good plugin for creating an affect like this? I also was wondering if you’d recommend that I not design the page this way. I saw a different post where you recommended to avoid using rollovers in one particular instance (I believe for a menu).. but was wondering if the issues you foresaw with that one would apply here. Thank you very much for your help! I’m new at this and every step is a major learning experience!!

    Hi Gretchen,

It looks like there are quite a few possible options out there http://wpbriefly.com/2013/03/jquery-image-effect-plugins/.

However, yes I would personally avoid use a device like this because it doesn’t work well on mobile devices. i.e their is no mouse on phones or tablets :)

So the rollover concept doesn’t really work on mobile devices.

    Hope that helps,
    Jamie

That does help Jamie. Your entire site is a lot of help actually… I’d be very lost without it as a resource. Thank you very much!
