It’s fine for the <description> and <keywords>, but I can’t override the automatically generated <title>. I found “Remove Generator Meta Tags” in Canvas Framework Settings > Theme Settings, but I’m afraid to enable it in case it wipes the descriptions and keywords that I’ve already written. Can you explain what Remove Generator Meta Tags does? Or tell me how to override the automatically generated title? Many thanks Susannah April 23, 2015 at 3:59 pm #19684 Jamie MarslandKeymaster Hi Susannah, I would use the yoast seo plugin instead https://wordpress.org/plugins/wordpress-seo/ – this gives you the option to write your own SEO title and Meta Description per page and per post. Those are the two important things to do. Jamie April 23, 2015 at 10:45 pm #19692 susannah rossMember Thanks, Jamie, but if I install a different plugin, won’t I have to write the descriptions again? April 24, 2015 at 9:40 am #19697 Jamie MarslandKeymaster Yes you may have to, but it’s a better plugin April 24, 2015 at 11:34 am #19698 susannah rossMember Thanks, Jamie. I’ll have a go at Yoast.
