    Hi Jamie,
I’m in the process of changing the layout of my website. On this page (http://divorceeasily.co.uk/mediation-better-for-your-family/) I’ve inserted a table so that I can have the blog on the left and the products on the right.

I’ve put each paragraph in a new row (not sure if that’s the way I should be doing it), but the effect is that there is now a big space between each paragraph. How do I reduce the space between each table row, please?

    Thanks

    Chris

    Hi Chris,

It would be much easier for you to do this using a sidebar and putting your products into a widget in a your right hand sidebar. If you want specific widget areas then use woo sidebar manager.

There’s tutorials for all the above on the Academy.

Let me know if that makes sense :)

Thanks Jamie, that’s helpful. I will use the woo sidebar manager to do that for blog pages. However, it won’t work for every page because of other elements. For example, on my home page (divorceeasily.co.uk) you will see that I’ve got a big blue table going across almost the whole width of the screen. What I would really like would be to be able to use full width blocks of colour but, as this doesn’t seem to be possible, I’m using tables to get as close as possible to that effect. However, this still leaves me with the issue of reducing the space between the rows.

It looks to me like this isn’t something that I can change using HTML on the page, but needs to be something I change in the CSS. Is that right?

    Thanks

    Chris

    Hi Chris,

Have you seen the column layout short code that comes with Canvas. This would be better than putting a table into a page. There’s a tutorial on column layout in the Canvas Masterclass.

Thanks. I’ve gone through all the tutorials again and will have a think about my redesign.
