I have lost my whole site arrghh..
I was following the tutorials online for the woocommerce and on video 9 it tells us how to move the bars to the top right hand side, and now all I get is this:
The website encountered an error while retrieving http://www.leafletprintanddeliver.co.uk/wp-admin/. It may be down for maintenance or configured incorrectly.
Here are some suggestions:
Reload this web page later.
HTTP Error 500 (Internal Server Error): An unexpected condition was encountered while the server was attempting to fulfil the request.
I am unable to even view my dashboard????

Looks a bit strange. Did you ever get canvas-commerce child theme to install?
First thing to do is to ftp into your site, open the custom.css file where you put the custom code, and remove the code. This should be in the canvas-commerce child theme.
Then try the site again.
If the site is still down then you know that it’s not the custom code causing the problem but something else.
Let me know if that works

I am a numpty but I dont have a clue what your saying, is there a de-install button?
BillMarch 28, 2012 at 12:53 pm #3946
Don’t worry :)
What you need to do is get access to the WordPress files on your server – as you can’t login to your WordPress dashboard anymore.
So you will need to login to your hosting account (where you website is hosted). Then you need to find something called your ‘file manager’, then you need to find public_html/wp-content/themes/canvas/custom.css. Then follow the instructions above.
Have a go if you get completely stuck – first raise a support ticket with your hosting company and if you are still stuck send me an email with your hosting account details in and I will take a look for you.
Also could you confirm how far did you got with installing the themes and plugins. Did you install canvas, canvas-commerce and woocommerce?March 29, 2012 at 11:57 am #3947
I have followed your instructions and I am unable to open the .css file?
Do I simply delete this?
BillMarch 29, 2012 at 12:03 pm #3948
If you right click on the css file you should have the option to edit.
Let me know

Thank you for all your help, where can I provide a testimonial?
Also do you know of any decent slidebar plugins where I can edit them, my ones look a bit naff?
BillApril 3, 2012 at 12:16 pm #3967
If you could email me a testimonial that would be great :)
Could you clarify what sidebar plugins you are looking to use?

These look great. Just be aware they are not widgets :)
Also Canvas has it’s own slider built into the theme.April 4, 2012 at 3:21 pm #4021
Don’t understand but woocommerce is now not installing, bloddy nightmare, trying to upload two new sites:
Unpacking the package…
Installing the theme…
The package could not be installed. The theme is missing the style.css stylesheet.
Theme install failed.
Please help ASAP.
BillApril 4, 2012 at 3:32 pm #4022
Woocommerce is a plugin not a theme. It looks like you are trying to upload it into themes. You need to go to plugins and add it there.
