    Hi Jamie,

I have lost my whole site arrghh..

I was following the tutorials online for the woocommerce and on video 9 it tells us how to move the bars to the top right hand side, and now all I get is this:

    Server error
The website encountered an error while retrieving http://www.leafletprintanddeliver.co.uk/wp-admin/. It may be down for maintenance or configured incorrectly.
    Here are some suggestions:
    Reload this web page later.
HTTP Error 500 (Internal Server Error): An unexpected condition was encountered while the server was attempting to fulfil the request.

I am unable to even view my dashboard????

    Help me.

    Thanks Bill

    Hi Bill,

Looks a bit strange. Did you ever get canvas-commerce child theme to install?

First thing to do is to ftp into your site, open the custom.css file where you put the custom code, and remove the code. This should be in the canvas-commerce child theme.

    Then try the site again.

If the site is still down then you know that it’s not the custom code causing the problem but something else.

Let me know if that works

    Hi Bill,

    Don’t worry :)

What you need to do is get access to the WordPress files on your server – as you can’t login to your WordPress dashboard anymore.

So you will need to login to your hosting account (where you website is hosted). Then you need to find something called your ‘file manager’, then you need to find public_html/wp-content/themes/canvas/custom.css. Then follow the instructions above.

Have a go if you get completely stuck – first raise a support ticket with your hosting company and if you are still stuck send me an email with your hosting account details in and I will take a look for you.

Also could you confirm how far did you got with installing the themes and plugins. Did you install canvas, canvas-commerce and woocommerce?

    Hi Jamie,

I have followed your instructions and I am unable to open the .css file?

    Do I simply delete this?

    Regards
    Bill

    Hi Bill,

If you right click on the css file you should have the option to edit.

    Let me know

    Hi Bill,

These look great. Just be aware they are not widgets :)

Also Canvas has it’s own slider built into the theme.

    Hi Jamie,

Don’t understand but woocommerce is now not installing, bloddy nightmare, trying to upload two new sites:

    Unpacking the package…

    Installing the theme…

The package could not be installed. The theme is missing the style.css stylesheet.

    Theme install failed.

    Please help ASAP.

    Hi Bill,

Woocommerce is a plugin not a theme. It looks like you are trying to upload it into themes. You need to go to plugins and add it there.

    Hi,

Not sure I 100% understand. Do you have a link you can send me?

What just clicks to the homepage?

How do you put the facebook into the footers again? I have tried inputting via the text button but no joy. This is what I am inputting into the text box.

To set up facebook widget go here http://developers.facebook.com/docs/reference/plugins/like-box/

In the following replace the word platform with your valid facebook page name http://www.facebook.com/platform

The click get code, then select iframe then copy code, then paste into a text widget

    Hi Jamie,

Do you know of any Plugins for quote forms, where you can give an instant price? For example go to http://www.askprint.co.uk/ or http://www.bookprintinguk.com/ or http://www.imprint.co.uk/digital/

    Cheers
