    Hi,

I followed your video instructions for installing and setting up a bbPress Forum exactly. But the forum page does not render as it should. It looks like this: http://www.podi.eu/forums/. More like a post than a forum index. Any ideas? BTW I’m using WP 3.5, Headway Themes 3.4.6 and the latest bbPress.

    Hi Tony,

Firstly welcome to the Academy :)

I’m 99% certain this is a theme issue. WooThemes Canvas Theme had the same issue with the latest version of BBPress but they have now issued a fix. This is something that Headway Themes should certainly fix, given that BBPress has now been downloaded 680,000 times. I suggest your raise a support ticket with them in the first instance. Please can you let me know if they issue a fix so we can share the information.

    Thanks

    Jamie

ps it must be 7+ years since documedia days… how time flies :)

Yes, it’s a problem with Headway Themes although they are not admitting it. I have been able to get an older version of BuddyPress (1.6.5) working with Headway Themes ok because it includes bbpress functionality for the discussion forum. The current version (1.7.2) has retired the bbpress component which now needs to be installed separately. This is the version that I cannot get to work properly with Headway Themes. There is also an essential Headway Themes extension called Community Builder which is required for BuddyPress. There are clearly many unresolved issues with Headway Themes and BuddyPress judging by the support forum there. Is any PootlePress Academy member using Headway Themes?
