    Hi
I installed the Canvass theme and I am trying to replicate some of the things you show in your video to help me get used to using it.
A feature I liked was the way you overlaid the website title on to the header background using a transparent gif. This has a mixture of red and white lettering with the white becoming visible when it is on top of the header background image.
I made the required images and I uploaded them but in my case the logo appears below, not on top of, the header background.
I have checked every setting I can find but can’t get the overlaid effect. Where am I going wrong?

Further to this post I had to add padding to the header to get the background image to appear. Without the padding only the very top of the image was just visible above the menu bar. Removing the padding reverts back to this error condition.

I have fixed this by making the logo smaller than the header background image.

There is still a small problem people need to be aware of concerning the behaviour of background images. These seem not to be given attributes to set the size of the header area and without a logo of some sort – which does set the area size – they will disappear behind the menu as mine did and still does if I take away the logo image.
It seems as though without a “foreground” the background header image doesn’t behave properly and the only way to get it to do so is to have some sort of logo image even if you don’t want one.

I’ll take a look when i get 5 mins. I guess you could use a 1×1 px transparent png as your logo.

I have been struggling this because i did not realize I NEEDED a logo to have my header display, I was going in circles. I tried your 1 x 1.png and it worked.

    Thanks for the idea!
