    Hi Jamie,

    I am using the canvas theme. I removed some widgets from the primary sidebar – recent comments, meta etc and now when I go to ‘view site’ a ‘Oops Link Broken!’ message appears!  Help! I have no idea what has happened.  Your assistance would be appreciated.

    Thanks,

    Rebecca

    Hi Jamie,

    I am working on the blog area of my site. I have managed to get the widgets I want on the posts (by creating 2 columns) but unable to get the widgets on my blog page. Any suggestions. Also, I need to change all of my posts to having two columns, is there anyway of doing this without editing each post individually?

    Thanks,
    Rebecca

    PS a developer previously made my website with a child theme and lots of css. He also created a separate menu on my blog page (which is now gone – don’t know how). I suspect it has something to do with that??? I have since removed the menu completely, created a new blog page and followed your instructions on creating a website with a blog page.

    Hi Jamie,
    I also want to get rid of the names on the top of the page. i.e. ‘Home’ page. Is this called a breadcrumb? So how do I go about doing it?

    thanks,
    Rebecca

    Hi Jamie,

    Try http://kadriaskincare.com . It is in maintenance mode at the moment.

    Hi Rebecca,

    I can’t see the site because of the maintenance mode :)

    However you can remove page titles with this css

    .page .title {
    display: none;
    }

    Put this in your custom.css file (found in Appearance/ Editor / Custom.css

    Let me know if that is what you were after,

    Jamie

    Hi Rebecca,

    I’ve taken a quick look at your website and it may be that a plugin is causing some of the problems eg. your blog page not showing the sidebar. You have a lot of plugins which you really don’t need (as Canvas has most functionality you need). I recommend you start by deactivating all non essential plugins and then seeing if this solves your blog sidebar issue. I suspect it will.

    Let me know if that solves the first problem, then we will work through the rest.

    Jamie
