I have been through the process of setting up an additional site into my webspace, I have all the Network Settings etc in place, however, I seem to have lost the page links to my main site and am still unable to see my new site, I am unsure of where to go next, can anyone please advise, thanks.

    Hi Neil,

Are you looking to set up a Multi-site (i.e a network under 1 install) or just another website?

    Hi Jamie,

    Thanks for replying.

I would like to set a Multi-site network at some stage, but for now I just want to design other websites for clients, so that I can show them before moving these over to their webspace.

I seem to be very close, in that I have gone through the various steps to set up this facility, I am now actually able to see a second site under MySites, I can scroll down to my newly created site, however when I select it’s Dashboard it takes me to a search webpage instead… thanks very much for your help.

    Regards, Neil

    Hi Neil,

I actually wouldn’t use multisite for this :(

    Sorry.

The problem you will have is moving the sites to live for each customer.

It would be easier for you if you built each customer website on it’s own webspace under a temporary url. Then once it’s been signed off it only takes 5 mins to put live.

I’m doing a tutorial on Friday on how to do this as it’s a coming question.

    I hope that makes sense,
    Jamie
