I had a problem with the whitelight site I created, The first problem was that I couldn’t turn off the comments box at the bottom of the page and then when I tried to add 3 column features post at the bottom they wouldn’t display nor would my blogs articles.  after much fiddling I have managed to get rid of the “leave a reply box” but I have lost my sidebar and  still don’t have the features and blogs.

    Hi Rosie,

Take a look at Video 4 on the tutorial http://www.pootlepress.co.uk/wordpress-video-tutorials/woothemes-whitelight-theme-tutorial/. This explain how to do it (woo component widget)

Let me know if that works,

I have just had a thought, when I downloaded whitelight Safari was set to unzip the files and I re-zipped them before uploading to the site. I’m wondering if I have corrupted the theme as nothing seems to be working. I have followed your tutorials when I set the site up.

Should I ditch the whole site and start again or just the theme

    Hi Rosie,

    Yes try that.

Also it would be better if you could not install WordPress in a sub directory. The more variables we take out of the process the easier it will be to identify the problem.
