    Hi

I have been carefully following the Pootlepress video tutorials, in a ‘watch one, do one’ type way but nothing seems to have worked quite as expected.

I set up a slider for the “why choose us” page but it also appears on the home page, which I want to just have a static image (and I’d also like it to not link to itself)

Then the portfolio in “modules” almost works but I would like the images to show the image rather than half of the text contained within it, how can I align so that the left part of the image shows in the portfolio view?

    All advice gratefully received.

    Thanks
    Sharon

It’s a bit less broken now but the slide images are all slightly different sizes but they started life all the same….

and the contact page doesn’t want to contact anyone…

I managed to stop the slider joining the home page by changing the template on the home page to default from business but now I have the header showing above the image, which I don’t want.

    Perhaps I just too fussy.

    Hi Sharon,

    Are you using Canvas?

If so check out this tutorial on how to assign sliders to specific pages http://jamiemarsland.wpengine.com/wordpress-video-tutorials/canvas-v5-masterclass/.

    Tutorial 7 :)

    Hi Jamie

I’m still struggling with this. I’ve downloaded and installed project as suggested but now when I click on the menu item modules, I get a webpage error ‘redirect loop’ All the other pages are fine and this didn’t happen before trying to use project and now I don’t know how to fix it.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks
    Sharon

    Hi Sharon,

Sounds like a bug – could you try deactivating the plugin?

    Actually Sharon,

Before you deactivate the projects plugin could you resave your permalinks. That might fix the problem.
