Ive created my site but the primary navigation fits the width of a box layout but i would like it to line up with the left edge of my text and logo. I cant find anyway how to move it
I want it to look like teh navigation in your canvas master-classes
Thanks for helpOctober 17, 2013 at 12:52 pm #9537

Do you mean you want it aligned right. If so you can achieve with 1 of our free child themes :)
Let me know if that is what you are after,

I want the menu to look like your menu in video 3 of your canvas masterclass
ie an equal gap on the left and right side which seperates the primary menu from the faint line of the box layout. i dont want the menu to run full width as it is doing
Hope this makes sense
The easiest way of saying this is i want the menu to be the same width as the slider as that will give a good symetrical design also lining up with the left edge of my logo
Thansk very much
Thanks againOctober 17, 2013 at 4:32 pm #9550
It looks like it’s the result of the update. I’ve had a quick look at your site.
It’s because Canvas now supports full screen. If you turn off the box layout you will see things align.
One way round this is to use the full width layout and slider (it’s pretty great). Here’s an example I’ve been playing with today :)

Thansk. I think teh full width is better
Ive turned on full width slider in my setting but my slider is going full width like yours
Is that because my pics are not the right proportions
Last night when i was working on this site. It was incredibly slow. It would take 5 minutes approx to visit the site from WP and vice versa
Heart said they had a problem but as a precaution i also turned off and deleted a couple of plugins. Can plugins cause tis type of slow down or do u think it was just the heart problem
Thansk againOctober 17, 2013 at 7:08 pm #9555
Yes your sliders will need to be approx 1250 px wide.
Yes plugins can cause a slowdown but it sounds more likely that it was a server issue.
