    Hi Jamie,

I’m just going through your CSS for Beginners videos. Do I need to install both Firebug & Jetpack? Using Chrome, if I right click, Inspect Element, it comes up with all the HTML etc already. I have your Blank Canvas WooThemes Child Theme plugin already installed, do I still need to install Jetpack?

    Thanks again

    Hi Pia,

Some people prefer firebug to the built in chrome dev tools but both will work.

Re Jetpack – nope you don’t need this if you have a child theme :)

    HI Jamie,

Thanks. I think I’ll stick to the Chrome dev tools since I don’t know that much about CSS anyway.

Having watched your CSS video about Firebug and Jetpack, I just tried to download Firebug and instead of it going straight to my browser as per your video, its gone to a downloads file. Clicking on it gives a message to say there’s no application available to open the file…directs me to search the App Store for one.
Does that sound right? If so, can you recommend the App I need to be able to open the document/install it properly to my browser?

Am using a (new) Mac Book Pro
    thanks.

    Hi Morag,

    Are you using Firefox?

    That might be the issue,

    Jamie
