ParticipantHi
I’m using the Canvas theme to build my website and have also purchased the plugins Page Builder and Page Customiser.
What I’d like to do is set a unique featured image for each individual page but I’m struggling to do this. I’m pretty sure there is a simple method using the above but it has got me beat.
Would appreciate an idiots guide explanation to get round this.
Thanks
Mick

KeymasterHi Mike,
Do you mean just to insert a picture?
If so you can use the Pootle visual editor widget and just use the normal add media button to insert a picture into a page.
Let me know if that’s what you mean :)

ParticipantHi Jamie
Thanks for you response-I was referring to pictures only.
What i’d like to do is set a unique page banner/picture on each individual page to give a bit more meaning and identity to the content. For example i beleive the picture settings on canvas for the banner image are around 980* 200 (ish). Could i have each page have its own banner with these dimensions?
Thanks
Mick

KeymasterHi Mick,
Sorry for the delay.
Do you want this to be the header on just in the page.
If just in the page then use PageBuilder and add an image.
If you want a different header then you can use page customiser for this.
Hope that makes sense :)

ParticipantHi, in the right sidebar of the standard WordPress page editing screen there is a feature called “Featured Image”.
This, I believe is a standard feature of WordPress and I’ve used it on other WordPress web sites. Usually, when I choose a ‘featured image’ from my library, it places that image at the top of the page, beneath the header/menu panel.
However, when I choose a featured image using this theme, that image never appears when the page is viewed by visitors.
How do we get this feature working with this theme?
Thanks

KeymasterHi Mick,
Featured image is used by different themes in different ways.
Canvas uses is in the following ways
1) In Pages (it doesn’t use it at all)
2) In Posts (it’s used for post thumbnails or for the slider if you are using the magazine template)
3) For slidesMake sense ?

Thanks for your response and apologies for my very late reply. Owing to problems with connections in my area I’ve been offline for over two weeks!
Thanks for your response.
