    Hi Jamie,

I have begun constructing my website finally after attending your course in Manchester and using the Academy. My very frustrating problem is that when anyone looks for the URL for my site http://www.cleverculture.net they are greeting with the Error 404 page not found message rather than what I was hoping for, i.e. the Home Page. I see on here some other people mention similar issues but I’m afraid I cant follow the technical language.

Can you offer some desperately needed help and explaain what I need to do in the simplest terms possible.

    Thanks so much.

    Hi Julian,

It looks like you need to set this page http://www.cleverculture.net/home-3/ as your home page. To do this go to Settings/Reading and then select ‘a static page’ to show on your front page. Then you need to select the static page you want to show ie home-3.
Let me know if that fixes things ,

Actually there is one more thng I hadnt realised Jamie. Type in http://www.cleverculture.net aand great, you arrive at  the home page. However, if you actually cliick on the ‘home’ button on the primary menu, it brings up http://www.cleverculture.net/home-3/ and the Error 404 message about page not found.

Hoping this will be similarly straightforward and easy to resolve.

    Cheers,

    Julian

    Hi Julian,

Check to in your menus where the Home menu is actually linking to. It looks like it’s going to a page or a post that’s no longer exists, namely http://www.cleverculture.net/home-3. But check in your menus.
