I am confused about the new free page builder.
Is this a replacement for the Canvas page builder?
Can I/should I start using page builder instead of page builder for Canvas?
Is this free page builder WPLM compatible, will it work on a multilangual site using WPLM?

The new pootle page builder is an ‘all themes’ page builder and it doesn’t use widgets (like canvas page builder)
We are going to keep supporting canvas page builder – but as i said this only works on the canvas theme :)
I’ll be writing a blog post in the next couple of weeks that goes into more detail, but i hope that’s ok for now,

I understand the Pootle page builder is an “all themes” page builder and that the Canvas page builder only works on a Canvas theme.
My question is, is it better to start using the all themes page builder even on the Canvas theme ( which I use for all my own and clients sites? ).
Or is it better to keep using the canvas page builder if I use canvas?
Can I do more with the canvas page builder then with the all themes page builder if I use Cavas?
Is this free page builder compatible with WPLM for multilanguage sites?
I have bought Canvas page builder but cant use it for multilangual sites so far?

If it was me I would probably use the pootle page builder – as the add-ons give you lots of options.
We haven’t tested it for WPLM plugin but it would be good to hear your experience,

Ok so compared to canvas page builder I would not lose any features when using the pootle page builder?
Can I deactivate canvas page builder and when pootle page builder is installed and activated, will it take the old canvas builder columns etc and rebuild it automatically or do I need to recreate everything?
I searched yesterday in the list of WPLM compatible plugins and nothing to be found from Pootlepress. A theme or plugin needs to have these thins in order ( by the developers ) to be ready to work in multilangual sites using WPLM:
If this is not the case, and it seems that way, we will not be able to use the Pootle page builder or other plugins in a multilangual site.
Would you consider making your page builder and other plugins that need to be translated if used in multilangual site, wplm compatible?

The main difference between canvas page builder and pootle page builder is that canvas page builder allows for the insertion of widgets. So if you don’t need this then pootle page builder is an option,
Re WPML – you can use pootle page builder on multilingaul websites, but the admin menus at this stage are only available in english. The actual content will be in whatever language you wish.
Hope that makes sense,
