I am helping Sarah out with her site and have hit a stopper with the above – as you know the site has a Woo Commerce based shop and we are trying to show a different menu bar in the shop page (to include the woo commerce menu items – cart, my account, returns etc).
I have tried changing the customer menu in the ‘shop’ page to the shop menu (created by us in ‘Menus’, but this does not have the required effect…
You should be able to achieve this by using the WooDojo plugin. In there you can create dynamic menus for specific pages. Here is a link to a tutorial http://www.pootlepress.co.uk/2012/09/woodojo-from-woothemes-an-indepth-video-walkthrough/
This doesn’t seem to work – I’m sure that the ‘shop’ is a page, as it is installed in the ‘main menu’ as such.
The ‘shop’ page has nothing in it apart from ‘products’ brought in through woo commerce the secondary ‘shop’ menu when called out as the primary menu for the ‘shop’ page should therefore ensure that the shop page has a different primary menu, but this is not the case?
Would a screen grab or 2 be useful to (perhaps) better explain?
If it were me however…I wouldn’t replace the existing menu once in the shop page. I think that might cause confusion to your buyers. I would either add as a drop down under the shop menu or in the secondary menu (top)
