I want to be able to build multiple sites, so creating them, then getting them signed off via the client then uploading them..what is the best way to do this?..can I create a offline wordpress on my machine then upload it to their server? or can I have more than one on my server then transfer it to theirs? Just a bit confused as to the best way to do this? Thank you! Kind regards Annmarie :)

    Hi Annmarie,

There are a number of ways to do this

    1) Develop on your pc (or mac). If on windows use this http://www.apachefriends.org/en/xampp.html to set up the environment you need. If on mac use this http://www.mamp.info/en/index.html.

    2) You could set up each site on a live demo server (password protected) . This has the benefit that your clients can view the websites as they are developed.

    Does that help?

    Hi Annmarie,

By setting up a live server i mean create a wordpress website on a dummy domain name. i.e just register a domain name and install wordpress on that.

    Hi Jamie,

    Cool I get you.

Set up a local server, that’s working great so thank’s for that! So, when I have it all proofed and the client’s happy, do I just use the tools to export it and then uploaded it on to their server?
