    Hello there,

I was wondering if it was possible to have attachments directly on the wordpress pages, instead of links to them elsewhere. How would I go about finding out how to do this and if it’s possible? The idea is to have pdf documents available to download directly from the page.

    Thanks,

    Nina

    Hi Nina,

There are lots of possibilities with this kind of thing, but what do you mean by ‘attachments’?

For me there are a few options:

    1. A URL (web address/link) that users can right click and save as or open in the browser window. This can either be the same browser window or a new one. Either hosted elsewhere or on your own site.

    2. A PDF that is embedded into your page so that users can actually read it in the page. The service I would use for this would depend on whether it was a presentation style PDF (for which I would use slideshare.net) or an A4 style document (for which I would use something else – can’t remember the name right now!)

Let me know what you are trying to do exactly and I can help!
