I want to add an ad banner in Canvas. I have gone through the Advertising part of Canvas Theme options and added the code, but the ad banner only comes up on the blog and nowhere else! I tried installing Canvas on a different site and starting again from scratch but the same problem still happens.

The way the advertising part works in canvas theme options is that it’s expecting you to upload an image for the Ad , not code. Can you try this?

I have looked into the tracking code provided but there doesn’t seem to be a way of being able to upload the image except via code. I opened the ad banner to view in full size and tried using the url that gave me, but that didn’t show any ad up at all.
Is there any other way of being able to use the tracking code that is provided within Canvas to add a banner ad to every page?
I guess another option might be to add an ad widget and put the tracking code into one of those in the side bar? Would much rather have an banner ad at the top of every page though!

Can you post the link to the site. I’m not 100% clear were you are putting the code. Is it in a widget or in Canvas theme options?
But a link would help clarify for me :)

Here is a link: http://www.davefitch.com/wp-admin/admin.php?page=woothemes
And here is a screenshot of the Advertising settings:
I am using Canvas 5.0.8

That’s got me stumped. I suggest you raise as a support ticket with Woothemes as it looks like it should be working :(

Thought I’d share the outcome of my support ticket – might help someone else too! ……
It seems like our responsive video script is messing with your Ad.
I’m sure it is an easy fix, but we’ll need your login details to
troubleshoot the issue further.
You’ll need to use FTP to replace this file with this content http://d.pr/n/Y4YP/2Cn1cH8p
I’ve removed the fitvids script which resizes movies for responsive designs.
If anyone does have problems and the above link has expired or doesn’t work, I have it saved – so just let me know and I’ll send it over!
